ABOUT
Los Angeles photographer Steve Skoll specializes in creating custom narrative portraits for editorial, corporate, industrial, and entertainment clients in challenging environmental locations, corporate offices, and rental studios.
Lighting and attention to detail informs my work. Care and knowledge go in to the selection of props and wardrobe. Combined with set building or finding the right location. All to create portraits that evoke emotion and engage the viewer. With the goal
of creating photographs that entertain and motivate your audience.
WHO DO I SERVE
I work in a broad range of industries including; video gaming, financial and legal services, social media, tech (both well established and start-ups), education, health & wellness, food and drink, automotive, and more.
I collaborate with corporate communication, magazine, and in-house design teams to create still photographs for a range of projects for editorial content, corporate branding, annual reports, website content, and corporate image libraries.
My client list includes Fortune 500 companies, editorial and corporate publications, movie and entertainment studios, alumni magazines, industry trade publications.
PRODUCTION
My still image production process starts well before the shoot actually happens. First things first is understanding the client’s goals and ambitions. This helps produce content that aligns with client objectives. This upfront investment of time is
critical to ensure that the images produced matches up with the client’s strategy and their need for new content.
RESULTS
The best photo shoots are the culmination of conversations and a well thought out production plan. With success dependent on how well I understand and integrate the clients goals and objectives into the final images. The pre-production process ensures
that by the time we are on-set capturing images - most of the hard work is behind us and it is now time to create!
My clients appreciate how I solve problems before they happen, am flexible, and proficient across multiple genres, including corporate, industrial, editorial, and narrative photography. My experience and skill set gives me an edge in delivering the client's
vision.
Beyond the creative side of being a photographer - I am also a problem solver. My team and I show up well prepared for the work ahead. Adjusting if changes are necessary. Pivoting with solutions to changing ideas and conditions.
I am a photographer who can take an idea that a client has in mind and turn it into a photograph. A photograph that has the look and feel that made you hire me in the first place.
In addition to client work, I also make time for personal projects. The current one is a series of portraits of Comedians.
